What do you expect. This site isn't exactly MENSA. Its a gaming website for fanboys. True there are alot of ps3 fanboys such as a few above, hence the reaction, but on other sites with MS or nintendo fanboys it could easily be the other way round.

Launches aligned darkride is correct. However in the real world they have continually fluctuated above and below each other in sales with price cuts and games such as halo 3 and mgs4 providing boosts. You are correct though Vega, if the ps3 had continually outsold the 360 it would be ahead of it now but the gap is 5.3 million still.

The ps2 didn't do what the wii did too? How many people who had a ps2 had it just for fifa and pro evo? A hell of alot of people here in Europe. You think 140 million hardcore gamers bought the ps2? Really? The wii has taken the model of the ps2 and expanded upon it to get an even wider demograph. Both are hugely successful and fair play to both Sony and Nintendo for that.

However Nintendo have sold 70 million in 3.5 years on the basis of motion control and have more than doubed ps3 sales increasing their generation market share from 15% to 50%.

On topic: Sony's wand does have potential but its success will depend heavily on how Sony markets it. MS is going to push the hell out of Natal, will Sony do the same? I hope so!
Nope, official statements by both companies (which by law must be 100% accurate) show that MS has sold 38.7 million and Sony 33.4. Gap, as of December 31st 2009 is 5.3 million.

I wouldn't talk about finances if your trying to big up Sony. Both Sony and MS have lost a hell of alot of money on their gaming divisions in recent years.
My prediction for 2010 are:
-the wii to sell 18 million (about what it sold last year, Activision has it way undertracked imo).
-The ps3 to sell 9 -10 million.
-The 360 to sell 7-8 million.
However who knows what Natal or the Arc could do to sales.
The wii sells alot more and manages to keep supply good most of the time. I can understand shortages but ones lasting for months? Thats too many lost sales.
Wait so now sales should always be based on critical expectations? Okay, so how does NSMBW sell 12 million in a smaller timeframe than it took uncharted 2 to sell 3 million. How has halo 3 hit 10 milllion plus. Is it 3 times better? No. So Bayonetta which is also a new IP has done very well. Sorry but your opinion seems a tad biased and warped to me.
Haha according to raztad MAG at 13 is a good performance and Bayonetta at 17 is a horrible performance. Jesus take those fanboy glassess off, both have had respectabe starts.
